About Tai Chi

Tai Chi is a gentle, flowing form of exercise rooted in ancient Chinese martial arts tradition. Often described as "meditation in motion," it combines slow, deliberate movements with deep breathing and focused attention. Unlike more vigorous forms of exercise, Tai Chi is low-impact and can be practised by people of almost any age or fitness level — making it a wonderful way to improve balance, flexibility, strength, and mental wellbeing, all while connecting with others in a calm, supportive group setting.

At the Alice Springs Youth and Community Centre (ASYCC), we're proud to offer two Tai Chi programs, both led by our dedicated volunteer instructor, Eunice Lee.
